HOW TO DRY YOUR HAIR (PROPERLY)? TIPS FOR HEALTHY AND SHINY HAIR
Knowing the right drying method not only helps you to have amazing looking hair, but also keeps your hair healthy.
When drying, keep your hair dryer at least 20 cm away from your hair
Direct the airflow in one direction only, from the roots to the ends. This way, the outer layers of the cuticles will remain smooth and your hair will be shiny and protected
Move the hair dryer continuously to avoid too much heat in one area only
HOW TO DRY SHORT HAIR
For short hair, the aim is to create volume and soft texture :
First of all, focus on the roots , to give the hair density and volume. While drying, lift the hair away from the scalp
Once the roots are dry, use a styling brush to style the different strands while drying the ends
HOW TO DRY MEDIUM-LENGTH HAIR
When it comes to short hair, the focus is also on volume and straight hair from root to tip:
To style the fringes, use a round brush to brush the hair away from the forehead and direct the blow-dryer stream to the ends
Blow-dry the sides almost completely before combing them out, then pin them at the top and finish drying by pulling the hair out with the brush
Then move on to the top section, pulling and drying the hair upwards to add volume
HOW TO BLOW-DRY LONG HAIR
When drying long hair, the aim is to enhance the silky texture while creating volume around the hairline.
First of all, dry the roots. Gently pulling with your fingers, push the hair away from the scalp as you dry it
Then blow-dry the hair almost completely
Lift and pin the top sections of almost dry hair with a bobby pin
First dry the underlying strands with a round brush to evenly distribute the hair throughout. Move the hair dryer steadily and keep it at a safe distance from the hair to avoid heat build-up in one area
Once the underneath strands are dry, remove the bobby pin and repeat the operation with the top strands.
